Rob Schneider is an American actor, comedian, and director known for humorous movies and being a veteran of the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live.
Growing up near the suburb of Pacifica in San Francisco, California, Schneider has always had a knack for comedy. He started his career in 1987, after his usual stand-up comedy performances in a local bar. Later, he won a slot for HBO’s 13th Annual Young Comedians special and eventually landed a role in the popular comedy program Saturday Night Live. At the beginning of his regular casting in the comedy sketch series, he was able to take on supporting roles in a few comedy films like “Home Alone,” “Martians Go Home,” and “Surf Ninjas.” Schneider has also been featured in multiple comedies starring his SNL colleague Adam Sandler, including “The Waterboy,” “Grown Ups,” and “Hubie Halloween.” His iconic characters are usually incredible sidekicks, supporting roles of the protagonist or a partner in crime that are overly enthusiastic, energetic, and bombastic. In 2022, he starred, produced, and directed in “Daddy Daughter Trip,” which was about a spring-break trip with a series of unexpected events.
