The work of incredible young talents in theater finally gets the recognition it deserves! It has been a time-honored tradition that high schools in the U.S. hold seasonal plays that cast and bring in creative young students. Many high school theater groups have raised the bar in these productions, and both the cast and the team behind the scenes work tirelessly to provide audiences with top-tier entertainment. But what do these students get in return?! That’s why organizations like The Palm Awards hold a significant role in giving the recognition these students deserve. The awarding body is currently one of the biggest groups to commemorate the work of high school actors and actresses, as well as other outstanding work of the team behind the scenes. When professional theater has the Tonys, high school theater has the Palm Awards!
Now in its 6th year, the Palm Awards has tons of categories, from Best Actress in a Leading Role to Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Best Production, Best Feature Performer, Best Ensemble, and more. Furthermore, the creative team will also receive numerous categories, including Best Technical Crew, Best Scenic Design, Best Costume Design, and many more. The event will conquer the McAllen Performing Arts Center and put students from Rio Grande Valley high schools in the spotlight. All these talents will compete for the $25,000 worth of scholarship fund.

The show will be hosted by renowned actor Nicholas Gonzales, a Texas-born actor famous for his iconic role as Dr. Melendez in The Good Doctor.
