Up-and-coming talents in the world of ballet are ready to showcase everything that they have! The prestigious Deborah Case Dance Academy will be presenting Cinderella - Carnival of Animals at the McAllen Performing Arts Center on Friday the 28th June 2024. Dancers of all ages will be gracing the stage in a variety of acts. It’s bound to be a great opportunity not only to see some of the more advanced students and the skills they’ve developed through their years in the academy, but also to see how young kids incorporate everything they’ve been taught.

At times, these ballet showcases turn into rather tense performances. When professional dancers are on stage, there’s a tremendous amount of pressure on them to ensure that everything goes according to plan. That’s not necessarily something that will be on display at the McAllen Performing Arts Center on Friday, the 28th of June. What you’ll witness is the joy that dancing brings to these kids and how it can truly impact their lives in a positive way. If you want to help support the academy, the best way to do so is to click the get tickets button and show up to the theater on the last Friday in June.

Founder Deborah Case brings years of experience in the world of Ballet as both a performer and teacher to her Academy’s shows every year. She’s one of the most well-prepared instructors in the country. Through her years in the industry, she’s collaborated with dancers from Germany, Russia, and other countries throughout the world where dance is a true art form. Deborah even traveled to Moscow with six of her dancers to study at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy. Through the Bolshoi Ballet Academy teacher training program, she received an official certificate from the Russian government. Knowing this, you can expect her dancers to be well-prepared to put on a show on June 28th.

The performance at the McAllen Performing Arts Center is also going to include the presence of a live orchestra. This speaks to the effort that goes into planning these shows. They are much more elaborate than your typical recital from a small dance school. There’s a reason why McAllen residents flock to the Arts Center to see them. At other smaller dance studios, it’s really just the parents that are in the crowd for these performances.

Many of the Academy’s former students have gone on to have professional careers in dance. Some of them have even returned to their alma mater to help Deborah teach the newer generations of dancers. This has ensured that the techniques that are taught on a daily basis at the academy remain relevant. Seeing former students in famous productions also helps spark the hunger to reach the top of ballet from some of the younger ones in the group. That hunger is going to be on display when they put on Cinderella - Carnival of Animals. Both Disney stories are ideal to help dancers showcase everything they’ve learned while keeping the audience engaged throughout the entire show.

The 1,800-seat McAllen Performing Arts Center has one of the best acoustics in the state, thanks to its unique design. Also, the stadium seating, particularly on the upper levels, ensures that you can see the stage clearly from anywhere. This is a great opportunity not only, to enjoy a ballet show full of young artists. It could also be a moment to ponder whether you want to try your hand at ballet and be part of the next event hosted by the Deborah Case Dance Academy.
