Mariachi Festival tickets

¡Arránquese mi mariachi! That’s what you’re going to be yelling at the start of the popular Mariachi Fest that’s going to be taking place at the McAllen Performing Arts Center on Saturday, September 21st. Mariachi 7 Leguas, a McAllen institution, is turning 20 years young, and they’re getting a chance to celebrate the occasion as the headliners of this event.

They’re going to be accompanied on stage by the Ballet Folklorico of the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley. That means that there’s bound to be some dancing on the night as well. Whether you’re going to be the one dancing remains to be seen, but it can be a great opportunity!

The RGV Youth All-Star Mariachi is also going to be taking the stage of the McAllen Performing Arts Center on this Saturday night in September. They’ll get you warmed up better than some sips of tequila to make sure you enjoy the rest of the event.

This promises to be an evening filled with Mexican heritage and all of the mariachi classics. If you want to sing and dance at the McAllen Performing Arts Center on Saturday, September 21st, click the get tickets button today.

Let’s get super real for a second here! You’re at the border. It’s not like you can’t find mariachis playing at your local cantina on both sides. What makes this event unique, so much so that you’d want to head to the McAllen Performing Arts Center on this Saturday in late September? The first thing is the quality that Mariachi 7 Lenguas bring to the table. Anyone can put on a traje de charro and a sombrero and try to sing, but “hasta entre los perros hay razas dicen en mi pueblo.” There’s a reason why Mariachi 7 Leguas is celebrating 20 years in the business. They’re the cream of the crop on both sides of the border. They honestly like playing more in McAllen because of those green bills. Who can blame them?

When you’re at the McAllen Performing Arts Center, and they come out singing “Sabes una cosa” you’re going to get that urge to sing and dance. Then, add to that the dancers from the ballet folklorico, and you’ll realize quickly that this is not the typical performance that you’re going to find at a local restaurant on any given Sunday. Make sure to bring someone along this night who’s going to match your vibe. Mariachi night is never an event where you’ll just want to sit in silence. You’re going to want to sing and bust out some of those “pasos prohibidos.” It’s a joyful event from start to finish. Plus, you’ll get a chance to see the future of Mariachi music in the community. It’s looking bright from what some of the reviews say. You’ll need to head to the McAllen Performing Arts Center, though, to check them out for yourself.

What’s the best spot within the McAllen Performing Arts Center on this night? You may want to be in one of the front rows at any of the levels. You can hear and see the stage perfectly from anywhere in the theater. What you may want, though, is a little more legroom to get up and dance. That may be more important for this Mariachi festival than it would be for other events. Click the get tickets button and pick your seat to have a great evening on Saturday, September 21st.
