For 129 years Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlan has established itself as the highest standard of all other mariachi groups. Most commonly referred to by the title "World's Best" they perform time honored pieces of the mariachi repertoire such as "La Bikina", "El Son de la Negra" and the ever popular "Cielito Lindo" as well as continue to be at the forefront of mariachi recording by incorporating many of the latest mariachi interpretations to their ever growing repertoire of music. With multiple Grammy Awards to their name, they remain at the pinnacle of the Mariachi music around the world.
This special evening with Mariachi music will be provided by the innovative forces behind the Mariachi music world, Nuevo Tecatitlan Mariachi. This is a leading group of young, award winning artists who have created their own interpretation of the mariachi sound. Playing a huge variety of mariachi classics, the challenging sections of the mariachi trumpet solos, all of the powerful mariachi waltzes and even romantic ballads, the group is constantly touring performing for crowds of fans in Texas, and all around the world. They bring a fresh slant of modern day interpretation to the traditional forms of mariachi and provide audiences with a musical experience that is artistic, a true mastery of the classical Mexican music.
