Families, friends, proud parents, and ballet lovers of all ages - we gather here today because it’s that time once again for the Deborah Case Dance Academy Ballet Gala Spring Recital, taking over the stage at the McAllen Performing Arts Center for a celebration that’s equal parts elegance, heart, and straight-up magic. Months of training from our little ones. Plus countless rehearsals, early mornings, late nights, sore muscles, and so much passion - all leading up to this moment that we’re oh so proud for. A recital, a victory lap, all the same to us - but above all, a proud moment for every dancer who’s poured their soul into the art of ballet - and thank god for us, a new moment to save the day with the perfect photo when our girls are on stage! Led by the incomparable Deborah Case, this annual performance continues a tradition that the Rio Grande Valley looks forward to year after year - happening this year on Saturday May 16th. 2026. We’re ready to be blown away - and if it’s your FIRST time seeing the recital, well folks - get ready to be amazed!

Deborah Case is an Artistic Director and the creative force behind the entire ballet company, who started her journey as leader of the elite Texas group back in 1993. A professional ballerina whose journey began at just three years old, Deborah brings a lifetime of experience and a deep dedication to the Vaganova (Russian) method of ballet. Her teaching philosophy blends discipline with heart, technique with passion, and precision with storytelling. The result? Dancers who don’t just perform but feel every movement, and who have learned how to give it all on stage on and off the camera. . Beyond the studio, Deborah’s influence reaches far and wide. She’s a certified John Maxwell Speaker, a Les Brown certified speaker, a motivational leader, and a life coach. Her accolades include being named “Most Distinguished Woman in Arts and Entertainment” by the Rio Grande Valley Chamber of Commerce and a “Legendary McAllen Woman” by the McAllen Chamber of Commerce - and honestly, it’s easy to see why. So to see another season of her work displayed on stage - well, YES! DUH! Of COURSE we’re going!
