From the moment that you set foot in this venue, you'll know what you're in for. The classic music of The Nutcracker will ring through the halls of the McAllen Performing Arts Center to help set the tone for the rest of the performance. One of the keys to ensuring that people continue to admire this performance year over year is the updates to the stage, along with the tweaks to the dance numbers. They do this while keeping the essence of the show very much alive; you'll experience that firsthand on Saturday, December 13th.  

A Mix of Young and Experienced Dancers Take the Stage with the Rio Grande Valley Ballet Company 

Some of the talent that's going to be taking the stage at this performance is truly going to wow the audience. Usually, the company does an amazing job of allowing some of the most experienced dancers to be a part of the duets and the pivotal moments of the story. Then you get some of the youngest members of the Rio Grande Valley Company taking the stage to really lighten the mood and provide "cute" moments. Say what you want, but you usually won't get those with a fully professional cast.  

Crafting Your Experience at the McAllen Performing Arts Center

If you're out here to see someone in particular, and better yet, you want them to make sure they locate you in the audience, then it's a must to find a spot in the front rows. A lot of times, some of the showrunners are going to take the center seats in those areas. It might be better to find maybe a spot on the third row and in the middle to make sure that when that special person takes the stage, they can see you, as opposed to having a front row seat way on the edge. Keep that in mind as you select your seats!
