On Friday, February 9th, The Liverpool Legends - Beatles Tribute will play at the McAllen Performing Arts Center!
The Liverpool Legends is a group of highly talented musicians and actors curated by the late George Harrison’s sister to pay tribute to her brother's legacy. Their main mission is to faithfully recreate The Beatles, an iconic band that forever changed the world with hits like “I Want To Hold Your Hand,” “Here Comes The Sun,” “Hey Jude,” and so much more.
Since 2006, they have been the main act in Branson, earning recognition as the “Best New Show,” “Best Band,” and “Best Show.” Concluding their sixth season fifteen years ago, their performance was acknowledged with the prestigious Visitors' Choice Award for Best Show.
In collaboration with Louise Harrison, they earned the honor of a Grammy Award nomination for their contribution to Fab Fan Memories – A Beatles Bond. More recently, Jerry Bruckheimer, a renowned television and film producer (known for CSI, Pirates of The Caribbean, and National Treasure), praised the group as the definitive Beatles concert over all other tribute bands worldwide.
Furthermore, they've recorded at the renowned Abbey Road Studios in London and shared the stage with popular figures like Denny Laine (co-founder of Wings with Paul McCartney), Pete Best (the original Beatles drummer), and the Boston Pops. Other major appearances include a feature on The Travel Channel's "Beatlemania Britain" and headlining "International Beatles Week," drawing a crowd of one hundred thousand Beatles fans on Victoria Street.
Check out the main lineup right here for a sneak peek of the grooviest night to come:
Marty Scott as George Harrison
Young Hines or Kevin Mantegna as John Lennon
Dave Tanner as Paul McCartney
Greg George as Ringo Starr
As per a Nepa Scene magazine review, the Liverpool Legends distinguish themselves from the competition by fearlessly venturing beyond the greatest hits and popular tunes. These guys know how to spice up their performance with lesser-known gems and deep cuts that most tribute acts seem to lack.
The McAllen Performing Arts Center is a spacious auditorium complex featuring a 1,800 seating capacity and state-of-the-art amenities for concert events - the ideal setting for the hippest British Invasion that is soon to come! Purchase your tickets to Liverpool Legends Live on February 9th!
